Day 1 Welcome to Portugal

Arrive at Lisbon Airport.This evening, you enjoy a gourmet food tour in Lisbon’s authentic winding alleys and taste the incredible flavors of Portuguese gastronomy. You will visit seven spots that brilliantly link tradition with modernity. They have reinvented restaurant concepts – from the market to the hotel-school – and have created culinary recipes that have become world famous.

Day 2

Get to Know Lisbon

This morning, you will discover Lisbon in an exclusive private city tour. From Belem Tower, Alfama district to the famous Liberdade Avenue. After the morning excursion, the rest of the afternoon is on your own. In the evening, you will dine at one of the best Fado restaurants. These are places to sample traditional Portuguese cuisine with interludes of authentic Fado.

Explore Lisbon and it’s surroundings

Day 4

Sintra/Cabo da Roca/Cascais day tour

Discover why Sintra is one of the most romantic villages in the World and why is considered as Unesco World Heritage since 1995 and also to visit Cascais, old fisherman village, with amazing beaches and coast, passing Cabo da Roca, The Western Most Point of Europe, once called “The End of the World”. You will then be able to visit Cascais Bay. The tour will end with a visit to Estoril, where 007 James Bond was born, extremely famous during World War II, where German and allied spies were settled.

Day 5

Visit to Fatima Sanctuary / Nazare Fisherman Village / Obidos Medieval Village

A perfect excursion for those who love to travel through the singular and traditional Portuguese heritage, this excursion will lead you through four of the most important and picturesque towns and villages of Portugal. Your first stop will be the beautiful town of Obidos. Filled with cobbled streets and typical painted houses, the entire town is encircled by solid walls. Then you will proceed to Nazare, the most traditional fishing village in Portugal. It is famous for its long sandy half-moon shaped beach, its wooden fishing boats that are colorful, narrow and with curved prows, its uncommon fishmongers who still wear the traditional seven skirts and its furious waves that can achieve world records. Then you will be driven you to Batalha, where the Monastery impresses, is a great masterpiece of late Gothic architecture. This trip will end with a visit to Fátima, which has been one of the biggest Catholic Shrines in the world since 1937 when it is believed the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children. Feel the magic atmosphere and admire the imposing architecture.

Day 6

Porto via Coimbra

Time to go to Porto. In route, you will make a stop in Coimbra.

Coimbra, is the medieval capital of Portugal for over a hundred years, and site of the country’s greatest university for the past five centuries. Explore on your own.

After lunch, continue to Porto.

Day 7

Get to know Porto

This morning, you will head out to start a private half-day excursion in Porto. This excursion will lead you through the most important landmarks of Portugal’s second most populous city, on a comfortable an exclusive vehicle. Settled by Romans, this is an emblematic city known for its delicious Port Wine, medieval townhouses stack up beside the beautiful Douro River and churches wearing their blue-and-white “azulejo” tiles. Afterward, the rest of the day is on your own.

Day 8

Day trip Douro Valley

Learn the production process of Port wine at one of the best vineyards in the Douro Valley

Be delighted with some perfect Port wine tastings. Visit a local olive oil producer, as olive oil is also one of the most regarded products of Douro Valley. Have a boat trip in the Douro Valley. Take photos at some magnificent viewpoints over the Douro river: you will understand why the Douro Valley is considered one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world!

Day 9

Day Trip to Peneda- Gerês National Park

Immerse yourself in Portugal’s wild landscape on this full-day small-group tour of Peneda- Gerês National Park from Porto. Explore the only Portuguese National Park, hike incredible mountains, admiring local fauna and flora, amazing viewpoints and mesmerizing waterfalls. Enjoy a traditional picnic lunch in one of Gerês most iconic viewpoints while you rest with the mountain at your feet and admire the gorgeous surrounding scenery

Day 10

Porto to Évora

Today you will transfer to Évora. You will discover the most impressive treasures of this Unesco World Heritage City, awarded in 1986. Visit the main monuments of this extraordinary Museum City, principal representative of the golden age of Portuguese maritime discoveries

Day 11

Explore the Alentejo region

Today enjoy Évora on your own or opt for a day trip the Alentejo region. Portugal’s largest region, covering a third of the country, truly captivates. Think dry, golden plains, rolling hillsides and lime-green vines. A rugged coastline, traditional whitewashed villages, marble towns and majestic medieval cities. Plus a proud if melancholic people, who valiantly cling to their local crafts. Centuries-old farming traditions – and cork production – continue here. Alentejo is the destination for traditional food. Gastronomic delights are plentiful – pork, game, bread, cheese, wine and seafood along the coastline. Birdlife and rare plants are prolific, and walking opportunities abound.
