Espíritu Travel’s Immersive Portugal 15-day trip will take you to explore all of Portugal’s hidden gems. These trip is perfect mix of culture, gastronomy, nature, and history. Discover Lisbon and Porto accompanied by a local guide, learn about the wine making process and take a river cruise in the Douro Valley. Discover the Roman remains in Évora and end your trip relaxing at the beaches of the Algarve.

Day one: Porto Gastronomic Experience

You will taste both modern and authentic classics of Portuguese cuisine, while visiting local markets or conversing with families who have dedicated themselves to cooking all their lives. Explore local restaurants, cafes and shops, accompanied by your local guide.

Day two: Visit Porto with a Local

This guided tour will take you through the most important places in the second most populated city in Portugal. Settled by Romans, this is an iconic city known for its delicious Port wine, medieval houses along the beautiful Douro River, and churches built from blue and white tiles.

Day three: Douro Valley Day Trip

Discover Douro Valley on a day trip. You will visit the vineyards of the region while your guide explains the process of winemaking as you taste the wine.  You will end today’s visit with a panoramic boat cruise that will cross the Douro Valley.

Day four: Day excursion to Peneda- Gerês National Park

Explore the only National Park in Portugal, hike incredible mountains, admire local fauna and flora, impressive viewpoints and fascinating waterfalls. Enjoy a traditional picnic lunch at one of the most emblematic viewpoints of Gerês.

Day five: Transfer to Lisbon via Coimbra and Tomar

Transfer to Lisbon, along the way, you’ll make a stop in Coimbra, the medieval capital of Portugal. Coimbra is a multi-colored collage of buildings spanning almost a millennium.  Continue to Tomar, headquarters of the legendary Knights Templar.

Day six: Discover Lisbon with a Local

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, a city built on seven hills. It is a charming and friendly city, with a cosmopolitan population, World Heritage monuments and impressive museums. A place where every corner breathes history, culture and art.

Day seven: Day Trip to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

Cascais is the premier beach destination for holidaymakers from Lisbon, and it was once the coastal playground of Portuguese royalty. Then it is off to Sintra —some can’t-miss locales in this area include the dramatic coastal cliffs of the Cabo de Roca.

Day eight: Explore Lisbon

Day nine: Explore the Alentejo Region

Today you’ll have a full-day to explore the Alentejo region on your own, where the pace of life slows amid the area’s iconic golden plains. Scenic rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards, and charming fortified towns with a number of walking trails, Neolithic monuments, rustic wineries, and cork production facilities.

Day ten: Relax in Algarve
